Speaker Biography
My name is Monica Whitfield. I am the Business Development Specialist for GA for Family Savings Credit Union, a position I’ve had and loved since July 2022. I am a single mother to an 11 year old son named Jackson. He was born here, but I moved to Cartersville in the summer of 2009. It has been very apparent to me since moving here that there is a great sense of community here in Cartersville and how important that is. I am honored to now be an integral part of the community, and be able to volunteer my time and resources to so many meaningful organizations in this area. Through my job, I organize and speak at several different organizations, schools, and businesses. I am able to teach young and old about the importance of finances, budgeting and credit. I handle marketing for the six branches that we have here in Georgia. I organize sponsoring events and help to market our credit union to future members.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my son. Whether we are going to see a movie, or building forts in the living room, these years and time together are precious and I wouldn’t trade them for the world. I love raising him here and I pray he grows up inspired by his mom to become an asset to our wonderful community.
